CURRY FLOW 10

Last week I got two new Curry's sent to me to take photos of. The Curry 2 Low with the new updated Flotro outsole which is a great idea, and also the latest colorway of the Curry Flow 10, the "Unicorn & Butterfly".

The whole idea of an updated outsole to make the old retros more designed to play in is great. When I've seen NBA Players ball in old J's, or Rasheed Wallace in his AF1's, I always get knee pain from imagining how bad it would be if i tried. Last week I friend of mine told me astory from when he forgot his shoes on a road game and had to lace up his worn out AF1, and actually had a 20-20 game. That would not happen to me. But the Curry 2 with the flotro outsole, that's great. They look comfy as hell, great traction and sleek fit.

But I really like the Curry 10's. I've had a couple of colorways over the last couple of months, the "Bang Bang" and "Splash Party" most recently. And the "Unicorn & Butterfly" is the best so far in my book. I really like the colors, specially the pale green/yellow parts on the midsole together with the vivid pinkish. And the origami looking symbols are from Steph's tattoos. He has three images tatted on his leg, one animal for each of his kids, with the unicorn and the butterfly representing his two daughters Riley and Ryan.

I had my friend and Storyteller Linus Holmström Riddervold trying them out yesterday for a shoot and first thing he said was "wow, these are way better than last years model" as he walked on the floor to shoot a couple of step back threes. From what he told me, the traction is one of the best ever, and the squeeking sound is super sharp every time he stopped on a dime for a pull up. As for the fit, it's a comfy sole thanks to the upper and cushioning is great.

It's crazy to think that they might release a retro model with an updated outsole of these ones in 10 years from now. Check out the video and more Curry 10's.
